In the Beginning

our story begins with a twist of fate and a YouTube channel. At the time, I was working as a tour guide on Showaround, showing the beauty of Uganda to visitors. Little did I know, one of my clients, Bartek, a YouTuber, would play a pivotal role in my love story.

#### First Meeting

Bartek, along with his girlfriend (now wife) Igna and their friend Anna, chose me as their local guide in Uganda. As I showed them the diverse and vibrant parts of my country, Bartek recorded our adventures and shared them on his YouTube channel. It was through these videos that my fiancé, Michael, discovered me. Michael, who was planning a trip to Africa, specifically Kenya, happened to be following Bartek's channel. During the COVID lockdown, with most people stuck at home, the videos gained a lot of attention, including Michael's.

#### Getting to Know Each Other

Bartek had kindly included my Instagram handle in his video descriptions for those interested in visiting Uganda. Michael reached out to me, and we began talking extensively about Kenya. However, my love and knowledge of Uganda soon convinced him to visit my homeland instead. Our conversations grew more personal, and by September, we knew a lot about each other and were eager to meet. I checked out his Instagram and noticed a charming consistency in his facial expressions over the years, which endeared him to me even more.

#### The Proposal

Michael asked me to be his girlfriend, and on October 3, my birthday, he traveled to Uganda and Africa for the first time. We spent two wonderful weeks together, which marked the beginning of our relationship. Despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship, we managed to visit each other frequently. Then, on July 2nd of last year, during a camping trip with friends at the chatuggo river in southcarolina Michael proposed. Surrounded by nature and friends, I said yes to the love of my life.

#### Looking Forward

We are now excitedly preparing for our wedding, set for October 19th this year in Uganda. Our journey has been filled with adventure, love, and the joy of discovering each other. We can't wait to start this new chapter together, cherishing every moment and looking forward to a future filled with happiness and love.
